Education Agents

Sea English Academy International invites partnerships and agreements with Educations Agents around the world. 

Education Agents for the Recruitment of International Students

Sea English Academy International has an established policy on the engagement and use of education agents for the recruitment of international students to its programmes. It has selected a number of highly regarded education agencies in Australia and overseas to assist prospective students and their families with course advice, travel and visa information. 

Application Lodgement

Sea English Academy International accepts applications directly from prospective students, or from its registered education agents with whom it has a formal agreement of representation with Sea English Academy. To help with efficient processing, Sea English Academy Education Agents are kindly reminded to quote their agent identification number, logo or stamp, on the student's application form.

Compliance

As part of their contractual agreement with Sea English Academy International, all Education Agents and their staff are required to meet the requirements of the Australian Ministry of Education's Pastoral Care of International Students.The Code establishes the standards, procedures and a complaint/feedback framework for the care and protection of all international students studying in Australia.Copies of the full code are available in English and other major languages via the Australian Ministry of Education website: http://www.immi.gov.au/business-services/education-providers/schools_english_agents.htm

Sea English Academy International Agency Agreement

Email today for an International Student Recruitment and Agency Agreement with Sea English Academy International. 

The Agent Agreement document includes:
  • Expectations and responsibilities of the Appointed Agent
  • Expectations and responsibilities of Sea English Academy International
  • Standards of behaviour expected from the Appointed Agent
  • Additional Support Services expected from the Appointed Agent
  • Terms of Commission and Payments
  • Acceptance of Terms and Conditions of the Agreement - to be completed and signed

Expectations and responsibilities of the Appointed Agent

  • The Appointed Agent is required to be registered as a business and have substantial experience in education and ESL consultancy.  The Agent is required to quote their Business Registration Number on the Application Form.
  • The Appointed Agent is expected to provide information on Sea English Academy International courses which includes: course details, dates, options, outcomes and policies.
  • The Appointed Agent is required to maintain accurate and up-to-date promotional material on Sea English Academy International courses.
  • The Appointed Agent is required to provide information on entry requirements.
  • The Appointed Agent must provide advise on visa and health care registration processes and policies drawing particular attention to visa conditions.
  • The Appointed Agent is required to verify all supporting documents such as English (IELTS) results and references.
  •  The Appointed Agent is required to provide a pre-departure checklist for students.
  • The Appointed Agent is required to submit an invoice addressed to Sea English Academy International.
  • The Appointed Agent is required to provide all student details 3 weeks prior to the student’s arrival.

Ethical standards of behaviour expected from the Appointed Agent

The Appointed Agent of Sea English Academy International is expected to abide by the highest ethical standards and be fully aware of Australian expectations of ethical business practices.  In a situation where an agent acts unethically the authority to represent Sea English Academy International will be revoked in writing and no commission will be paid for students recruited after that date. Unethical behaviour includes discounting tuition fees, misleading or deceiving a student in any way.  Agents are monitored by methods including, but not limited to, face to face contact, emails, phone conversations, student surveys and performance benchmarks.  Performance benchmarks include the agent providing at least one student per year to study with Sea English Academy.  If more than 30% of students make a complaint against an agent then the agent agreement will be terminated. 

 

 

Authority to represent Sea English Academy International is reviewed on an annual basis and may be terminated at any time by either party.

 

Additional Support Services

 

Sea English Academy International may request the Appointed Agent to provide additional support services such as:

  • Marketing and promotional support
  • Market proposals
  • Exhibition and/or seminar organisation within your country or region
  • Provision of interpreters in country
  • Assistance with the development of promotional materials
  • Sea English Academy International will pay for these additional support services and provide a written agreement to do so. 

Expectations and responsibilities of Sea English Academy International

  • Sea English Academy International will provide prompt application processing.
  • Sea English Academy International will provide assistance with placement and course advice.
  • Sea English Academy International will provide up-to-date marketing material for all courses including the Certificate IV in TESOL, Diploma of TESOL, Certificate I in English Communication Skills and Study Tour programs.
  • Sea English Academy International will provide up-to-date marketing material through regular emails, website, monthly newsletters and posted material. 
  • Sea English Academy International staff will undertake international marketing trips.
  • Sea English Academy International staff will be available for student/client interviews, seminars and consultation when in your country or region.
  • Sea English Academy International will conduct themselves in an ethical manner at all times.
 

Commission

Commission will be paid to the Appointed Agent who provides Sea English Academy International students with the required and expected services listed above, and who is responsible for first introducing a student to Sea English Academy International.  The Appointed Agent’s stamp or mark must be present on the student’s application form.  

Accommodation, airfares, visas, insurance and food are not included in commission calculations or fees. If Sea English Academy International deals directly with the Appointed Agent who markets the package directly to the client, then the whole commission is paid the appointed agent. If a wholesaler or inbound operator uses other agents to sell to the client, then it would be their responsibility to pay agreed commissions to their agents.

Commission will be paid to the Appointed Agent after the student has commenced the course and full tuition fees have been received by Sea English Academy International.   

 

 

 

Commission is paid under the following conditions:

  • The Appointed Agent has returned a signed copy of the student’s letter of application.
  • The student has paid the full amount of course fees.
  • Sea English Academy International has received notification that any required visas have been approved.
  • The appointed agent has issued Sea English Academy International with an invoice.
  • The student has commenced study. 

Commission will not be paid under the following conditions:

  • A student is currently studying with Sea English Academy International. 
  • A student has been introduced by another agent. 
  • A student has applied directly to Sea English Academy International. 
  • The student withdraws for any reason before commencing the course. 
  • The student’s visa is rejected. 
  • The Appointed Agent has not adequately met the standards as described above. 

Methods of payment

Commission and/or course fees can be paid by either:Bank cheque or draft, Telegraphic Transfer, Electronically

Note: Students and agents will be liable for any bank charges incurred by their bank outside of Australia. Sea English Academy International is only responsible for bank charges incurred by our bank in Australia.

Acceptance of the terms and conditions of the Appointed Agents Agreement

The authority of the Appointed Agent to represent Sea English Academy International is reviewed on an annual basis.  This agreement may be terminated at any time in writing. The agreement will not commence until both parties have signed.  Both parties shall hold a copy of the Agent agreement.

  • Oz Study 4U
  • Australia Study Advice (Brazil)

  • GO4U International Education (Korea)
